The original rules engine
Legal-move validation, spinner branches, endpoint scoring, draws, passes, and round resolution share the original match state and rules.
Games Selected work
An expressive All-Fives domino game with spinner branches, strategic endpoint scoring, and a computer opponent.
Play the original solo game against Montrose directly on Blackbird Studio. Online friend matches need a separate realtime service. Completed scores save locally; unfinished matches do not resume after reload.

The project
Bring the original domino table to the browser. Play against Montrose, connect matching pips, and score when the exposed ends total a multiple of five. The spinner opens four branches as play develops; drawing, passing, blocked rounds, and round bonuses lead into a match to 150. The original responsive React interface, tile selection, hints, rules guide, sound effects, and music stay together in an isolated standalone game.
Design & development
Legal-move validation, spinner branches, endpoint scoring, draws, passes, and round resolution share the original match state and rules.
Montrose uses the original computer-player logic. Play successive rounds to 150, with pause, restart, and match summaries.
The original React game runs in its own local document, with bundled artwork and music. Completed scores and player mute preference are stored on this device; online friend play needs a separate realtime service.
